About Us

Studio TAG is a London-based interior architecture practice founded in 2020, by Asmaa Georgiou + Rob Taher.

Whether it's a home, an office, a hotel or a commercial unit, the spaces we occupy are informed by our habits, dreams, thoughts and memories. And so above all we aim to create experiences.

Asmaa's introduction to design came at an early age having grown up in a creative family. She is fascinated with how the perception of space shapes people's thoughts, memories and dreams. With a passion for lighting, she believes that a scheme is truly finished when it is illuminated beautifully.

Rob - the epic organiser - with bold, yet impeccable design sensibilities, has an eye for elegant proportions. Disciplined and practical, he balances his approach with sensitivity and consideration.

Combining their skills as a creative duo, they bring a harmony and measured balance to their work which is both versatile and playful.

With over a decade working in the Law and Finance, they gave up their successful careers to embark on a new direction in 2017, and attended The Inchbald School of Design, where they met and became friends. The idea for setting up a business was born while still students and two years after graduating, they set up a practice.

“We respected each other’s appetites for design and hard work from the start and would ask one another for feedback and critique. It was refreshing as we had a completely different way of working and seeing things. The result was that we encouraged each other to try new ideas we might not have otherwise thought of. That just became the beginning of how we began to collaborate.” Asmaa

On graduation Rob scooped the top prize while Asmaa won the Dean’s award. Subsequently, while working for other designers and publications, the opportunity arose to work together on a project in their spare time. Soon after, they decided to set up Studio TAG.

Our Design Philosophy

Only through understanding the significance of our surroundings, and its effect on us, can we begin to create meaningful, purposeful and intelligent spaces that enhance our lives and make us happier.

The best way to find the narrative of a space is by dismantling what we have been taught to think and instead explore an idea that might begin abstractly. This could be a feeling or a memory or even being drawn to a particular image.

We like to play around with space. It might be through introducing details that might otherwise go unnoticed, but make your life so much simpler.

This is the driving philosophy behind our work: constructing inhabited spaces that are considered, beautiful and perfectly suit our clients needs.  Ultimately, we aim to create spaces that speak of joy and are a pleasure to be in.
